This is the Grumman F6F Hellcat. It is a American, WWII, Naval fighter. The Hellcat was the only Naval Plane that could successfully tackle the Japanese Zero. In fact, the Hellcat was better than the Zero in every way. It could out-climb, out-dive, out-turn and out-gun the Zero. The Hellcat was an amazing plane but the more amazing thing about the Hellcat was that the Hellcat was barely ever improved because it never needed to be improved! I'll post another plane soon.
